Cass Graybeal, BFA Illustration
Even though Cass Graybeal was born in Bethesda, Maryland the majority of her life was spent moving around the world. As a military child she lived abroad in Japan, Germany, and Bahrain. Growing up this way had a huge impact on her views and values, shaped by many varied cultures and countless people. Raised by generations of artists, who were almost aggressively supportive, she has been drawing ever since she could hold a pencil. Despite this she didn’t take an art class until her junior year of high school, having always planned to study criminal psychology. After that first class, she was hooked. Luckily she was able to combine her love of science and art at the Savannah College of Art and Design. As a Senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design she is majoring in Illustration with a minor in Scientific Illustration.
